Will it blow? We dunno.

Before any confusion arises, we encourage anyone who would like comprehensive volcano analysis and public advice to refer to the Alaska Volcano Observatory for the latest regarding the volcanic mountain, known as Spurr.
Will it or won’t it? How bad will it be if it does? We don’t know. Are we taking this situation seriously enough? Are we burning Spring calories that could be spent prepping for Summer tasks?
Again, we don’t know, and neither do you. Just the kind of critical insight you were looking for, I’m sure. But there is one guiding principle business leaders have leaned on for a while, which just may apply to our current tectonic predicament.
It goes like this, “In business, when you don’t know what to do, doing something is always better than doing nothing”.
Concerned about delivery delays/communication/safety? What action can you take right now that is better than doing nothing? Will you be wasting energy? Maybe. Are you wasting energy worrying about this thing popping? I’m not in your head, and I don’t know what you know. If you are worried, do something. Anything.
I’m certainly not suggesting the power of positive thinking will give every Alaskan the strength of 10 men, and allow us to easily shovel-out of a monumental pyroplastic dump in 20 minutes. Or that if we can get everyone in the state to hum at the same frequency at the same time, that we might somehow stave off an eruption.
The notion is simple. Action removes doubt. If you have doubts about your business's future prosperity based on possible environmental occurrences that you can’t control..focus on what you can control and take action!
Be safe, everyone. And, look at the bright side, all of these Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Blizzards, and Bears are probably keeping would-be competitors who are softer than you, away from your market.
